Brandon Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: Busy About the Lord's WorkWe hope that you all had a Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends, just as we had this month of November. November began with a Missions Emphasis at Lakecrest Baptist Church. There we were able to catch up with some other missionary friends and meet the wonderful people of Lakecrest Baptist Church. While out door knocking on Saturday morning, God opened the door for me to share the Gospel with two different young ladies. Tia and Chelsea came to trust Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour! During our time at LBC, they also gave our family many gifts; there truly are just not enough words or ways to say thank you for all they gave us. Thank you so much, LBC, for all your gifts, your love, and your support toward our family.

The following week, we headed for Texas for two meetings. While there, we had the opportunity to go out soul winning with Assistant Pastor Mark Butler from Parkside Baptist Church. While knocking doors in an apartment complex, my family and I had a teenage girl named Brittney answer the door. We were able to go through the Bible with her and show her how she could be saved; and, praise the Lord, she came to call upon Christ and received Him into her heart. Please pray with us that Brittney would begin to attend church and grow in the Lord. Thank you also to Parkside Baptist Church and Victory Baptist Church for allowing us the opportunity to share the need for the Gospel in East Africa.

From Texas we headed to Rochester, Minnesota. While passing through, we stayed in a prophet’s chamber at Madison Baptist Church in Madison, Wisconsin. I had a great time with Pastor Weiss and many of the folks there as we went to an area in the city near the campus of the University of Wisconsin to pass out the Gospel. I also had the privilege to go with a few men to Waterloo, Wisconsin, where Brother Sanftner will be beginning a Bible study to reach out to the community. We were able to pass out door hangers and invitations to the Bible study to some of those within the town. Please pray for this exciting opportunity to reach many people in the town of Waterloo; pray that the Lord might open the door for a church to be planted there.

While at Midwest Bible Baptist Church to present our ministry, I learned about the need to strip off part of the old roof from their bus barn, which had been ruined by strong winds. I was able to help some of the men with this project, and I was very thankful for the time of fellowship I was able to have with these men of God.

Lastly, we spent the weekend with my best friend, Pastor Jeffrey Lynn, at Crossroads Baptist Church. We were very thankful for the time spent together because we had not seen each other in over a year. On Saturday we had a great time with church members as we went into their local town during their Light Festival to pass out hundreds of Gospel tracts with their church information on them, along with a candy cane. All the people were very open to the Gospel tracts and candy canes. During the Sunday services, I was also able to present and preach during Sunday school and the main service. It was great to be a part of their services and share our burden to reach the lost.

Please pray for safety for our family, as we have just a couple more meetings in Michigan before we head back to the West Coast with our home (camper) for the next few months. We thank you all for your prayers and support and wish you all a Merry Christmas this year.

Your co-labourers for lost souls across East Africa,

Brandon, Ali, Jeffrey, Hannah, & Esther Heselschwerdt
