Simeon Hudson Prayer Letter: He Held Back the RainWe can’t say thank you enough for helping us serve Him here in Argentina. Much fruit is to your account because of your faithful prayers and support. What a joy it will be in Heaven when we hear Him say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

The new work we are trying to start in Ranchillos is off to a great start. After three weeks of soul winning, we were able to have an open-air service in a lady’s yard with 17 in attendance. I preached on not being ashamed of the Gospel, and 7 received Christ as their personal Saviour! The following week we had 18, and the next week we had 23! It has been raining constantly, but every Sunday the skies have cleared for the services! Because of His grace, 44 people in Ranchillos are now children of God. We have made a few friendships, and they are helping us look for a building to rent. We’ve met a former pastor’s wife, and she may let us start a second service in her home since it is on the other side of town and there isn’t bus service in Ranchillos. The work in Ranchillos has many obstacles, but He is in control. We are praying for the Lord to move on one of the students to pastor the sheep. We need the building. One thing the mission field teaches you is to wait on His timing. While we wait, we work for Him, for His glory.

In personal evangelism we led 3 to saving faith in the finished work of Christ. Christian is one of the three we are discipling the most. He’s a bear-sized man but has a gentle heart and wants to know the Lord in a deeper way for himself and his family. In Argentina everyone is late, but when we go to Christian’s house, he is standing at the door looking for us. How refreshing!! We stood silently and prayed as 9 received Christ, and we were able to give 33 Bibles this month.

We are advancing well in the language, so please continue to pray for this area of our ministry. Pray for our health and safety. Pray for a pastor and a building for the Ranchillo work. The first half of the seminary year ends in June, so pray for more students to begin in August after the break. Pray for America to turn to God during this upcoming election cycle.

In Christ,

Simeon and Susie Hudson
