Go Oishi Prayer Letter: Halfway There! To God be the Glory! Records have been set this month! In terms of the number of days my wife and I were a part of a church service, this September was the busiest month thus far on deputation. This month alone, my wife and I had the privilege of being a part of 9 different meetings, 5 of them being Missions Conferences! On top of that, God has given us traveling mercies flying back and forth from California and driving cross-country from the state of Washington to Michigan in the midst of these meetings. We are thrilled to share with you the great things He has done along the way!

Our final leg of meetings in the Northwest began with a Missions Conference in Colville, Washington. There my wife and I had the privilege of going out soul winning for a total of four hours and helping with maintenance for both the church building and the grounds. God also potentially allowed us to schedule a meeting with one of the guest speakers who was there! God gave us a great start!

Our time in Washington was immediately followed by four back-to-back meetings, including two Missions Conferences in Oregon. In our first meeting in Beavercreek, Oregon, I had the opportunity of spending four hours witnessing to Lei and Laito (pictured above), who were two Japanese exchange students currently being hosted by the Christian school there. As this was their first time ever hearing the Gospel and learning about the concept of true forgiveness (which is non-existent in the Japanese language or culture), they told me that they still needed time before they were willing to trust Jesus Christ by faith. Please pray for these two young men; for the next 10 months, they will have the privilege of hearing Christ preached in their Christian school, their host-family homes, as well as at the church!

Immediately following that Missions Conference was another conference in Sherwood, Oregon. There my wife and I had the privilege of spending time with veteran missionary, Don Sisk (pictured above), the one who started the Senri Newtown Baptist Church and won Pastor Sogoro Ogawa to the Lord! It was a special time of fellowship, as he was the man whom God used to establish the work where my wife and I will be starting our ministry in Japan. Praise the Lord for faithful men who have served God sacrificially for decades!

This month, two of the churches where we presented took us on for support right away! In addition, the church in El Cerrito, California, gave us a call, letting us know that they have also voted to partner with us! Upon gaining these new partners in His Great Commission, we are excited to announce that we are now officially over halfway to Japan financially! Thank you for all of your prayers that have amounted to such blessings only possible by the hand of God!

As an additional blessing, God has allowed us to book all the flights needed for the 2020 Japan Olympic Outreach! Indeed, God’s hand is moving!

Your friends and co-laborers to Japan,

Go and Danielle Oishi
