Brandon Heselschwerdt Prayer Letter: A Month of ChristmasThe month of October sure has felt like Christmas to our family. God has been so gracious to our family through many of the churches we have been with this past month. In Galatians 6:10 it says, “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” My family and I have very humbly experienced this verse in our lives over this past month, and all we can say time and time again is, Thank you for your love, support, and prayers for our family.

This month began with a Missions Conference with Berean Baptist Church of Adrian, Michigan. Our children made plenty of friends with the children in the church and were very saddened when it was time to leave. We had an opportunity to present and teach in both Sunday school and Junior Church classes, which was a blast! On one of the days, I was taken into town to purchase a new suit, and my wife was able to go shopping with a couple of the ladies from the church. Also, on the last night of the conference, they asked me to preach and present our ministry. After the service, they had my family and me sit on the platform in front of the church, and they began to bring out gift after gift for us. We were very humbled, as they got my wife and me everything we needed for here and for on the field, as well as some things we wanted. We’re still in awe at what they did for us and can never say thank you enough. Thank you to all our brothers and sisters from Berean Baptist Church!

After the Missions Conference at Berean Baptist Church, we headed for a midweek service at Parkview Baptist Church in Livonia, Michigan, during their Missions Month. We were given the opportunity to present and preach for them during their service. We also had the chance to be with Pastor Stedman and Faith Baptist Church of Posen, Illinois. In Sunday school we presented Kenya, East Africa, to the church and showed our video, and I was able to teach their Sunday school class. Thank you to both churches for giving us the opportunity to share the need of the Gospel across East Africa.

After Posen, Illinois, it was off to Lawrence, Kansas, to be with Heritage Baptist Church for their Missions Conference. Once again, our brothers and sisters in Christ poured out a continuous blessing upon us. They also gave our family many things that will be helpful on the deputation road and got our children many gifts. Again, our children made many new friends, and when it was time to leave for the next church, our children were saddened to say goodbye. Jeffrey even asked if we could just stay and make that our home church! Most importantly, though, was that while out soul winning, I was personally able to see one young lady named Jaelyn come to call upon the Lord as her Saviour, while my partner was also able to lead a young woman to the Lord for salvation! On Sunday I was blessed to teach both Sunday school and a girls’ Junior Church class. Praise the Lord, during the invitation time in Junior Church, four girls came forward and went out with a helper to go over salvation. Praise God, all four girls asked Christ into their hearts and lives as their personal Saviour! God is so good!

Lastly, we were with Red Lion Bible Church in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. There we presented our work and gave a lesson during their service. Thank you to Red Lion Bible Church for partnering with us once we get to the field to reach East Africa for Christ. We now are up to 40% of our needed support and are looking forward to what God is going to do. Please pray with us as we try to book meetings for next year’s calendar and as we aim to reach 100% by the end of 2021. Thank you again for your faithfulness in prayers and support. May God bless you.

Your co-laborers for lost souls across East Africa,
