Jonathan Beil Prayer Letter: Our Firstborn Has Arrived!

Jonathan Beil Prayer Letter: Our Firstborn Has Arrived! Our firstborn, Judah Lawrence Beil, has arrived! He was born on February 12, 2021, at our local hospital here in Hua Hin, Thailand. He was a healthy 7-pound 11-ounce, 20-inch baby. Thank you all for praying for him and Brittany. Both Brittany and Judah are healthy and at home. We love our gift from God and desire that Judah and any other future children will walk in the truth of God’s Word. I want to thank both my family and Brittany’s family for the great Christian heritage that they have passed down to us. Along with the arrival of our son, we are also blessed to have my wife’s dad, mom, and grandma visiting us here for a few weeks. It was really a miracle that they were able to enter the country during this time, and the Lord provided several open doors to make their trip possible. It’s so great to have family here to serve the Lord together and to welcome our son into the world.

The month of January started with another mandatory shutdown in our area of Thailand. Our church and ministry once again moved to online services. Although this was not what we wanted, especially after having a great Christmas Sunday with many visitors, God continued to work and bless. Thankfully, the lockdown was much shorter this time, and after three weeks, we were allowed to reopen. It was a joy to be back with our church family and especially the teenage class. It is also a joy that, through weekly soul-winning efforts, several have trusted Christ.

In the last two months, we have seen several more newly saved teens follow the Lord in believer’s baptism. Two of the teenagers, Nong Goong and Nong Model, trusted Christ a few months ago and have been attending church faithfully every week. They recently understood the meaning of baptism and, on their own, asked to be baptized. Thank you all for praying for our teenagers. As I have said previously, these teenagers are the next spiritual leaders for Thailand. The Devil desperately desires for them to quit on church and God. Some will come for a few weeks and never attend again, and some stay and grow in the Lord. No matter their problems or situations, we must give them the Gospel and teach them how they can have a personal relationship with God. Knowing God personally is a foreign concept in Thailand. The people will go to the Buddhist temple to pray, but they are amazed when they come to church and are taught that they can pray directly to the God Who hears their prayers. It is a privilege to watch these “baby” Christians begin to grow in their relationship with their Creator.

Thank you to those who have been praying for the development of our church property. We were able to clear the land in preparation of building our first structures: a well, a guardhouse, and a brick wall. We were able to have a special Wednesday night “praise and prayer” service out on the property recently. If you have questions about the development of the land or would like to donate towards our church and school building, please contact me or Team Thailand.

We are honored and blessed to serve the Lord in in this beautiful country. Without your prayers and financial support, this would not be possible. My wife and I are excited to raise our son Judah here for many years as we preach the Gospel and train believers to teach others of Christ.

In His service,

Jonathan and Brittany Beil
