Jonathan and Brittany Beil Prayer Letter: Big AnnouncementWe are excited to report what the Lord has done these past two months and to share an announcement of God’s leading in our life and ministry. Thank you for your faithful prayers and generous giving!

Report for January – February

Our furlough is quickly approaching, and we have been praying that God would lead us to someone with whom we could start having personal Bible studies in Thai. I recently met a guy named Ice who is Buddhist but has a girlfriend who is a Christian. I was able to meet with him and share the Gospel, and he agreed to continue to meet weekly to study the Bible together. This is a great opportunity to practice my Thai one on one as well. We also started hosting several of our neighbors at our house every week. They come to learn English and stay for a Bible lesson. I continue to preach every month at GBC, and Brittany recently started teaching a Bible lesson to a group of teen girls every Saturday. We are extra busy with preparing for these lessons alongside attending our last stretch of full-time language school and completing the homework that entails, so we truly appreciate your prayers for wisdom and strength and that the correct Thai word would come to mind at the right moment! Please also pray for those who have not yet received Christ to be saved.

Big Announcement!

As you know, Brittany and I have been in language school since June of last year. We felt that the best way to reach more people with the Gospel was to be able to teach and communicate in the language of those with whom we minister. During this time, we have been praying about the next steps in our personal and ministry life. With much prayer and counsel, the Lord has led us to join CORE Missions, starting at the beginning of our furlough in June. CORE (Centered On Remote Evangelism) Missions was established with the exclusive focus of equipping missionaries and supporting national pastors, enabling them to preach the Gospel and establish churches in remote regions around the world. If you are not familiar with CORE Missions, I ask you to visit their website: www.coremissions.org.

The decision to leave FBMI to join CORE Missions was a difficult one. Since August of 2017, our mission board, FBMI, has faithfully served our family as we minister in Thailand. From our early days on deputation to now over four years on the field, FBMI has been a great blessing to us in many ways, and we will always appreciate their help and friendship. However, we believe that this transition is a pivotal step in fulfilling the Lord’s purpose for our long-term ministry in Thailand, and it will allow us to expand our reach for the cause of Christ in Southeast Asia.

When we return to Thailand in January 2025, we will focus our ministry on supporting, training, and equipping national pastors to start and strengthen indigenous churches. We are excited to work together within the infrastructure of CORE Missions in helping pastors, missionaries, and churches in this very Gospel-needy region of the world. CORE Missions currently assists over 150 pastors in 20 countries. Some of these pastors serve in a neighboring Southeast Asian country, where it is very difficult for American missionaries to live and minister. Prayerfully, we will be able to partner with even more pastors in Thailand and neighboring countries to start new churches and reach the lost.

Although our mission agency is changing, our beliefs, vision for lost souls, and heart to plant churches have not changed. I will be sharing more information in our next video update about the ministry and how God is working. Our official transition from FBMI to CORE Missions will take place on June 1, 2024. At that time, we ask that our supporters begin transferring our support to CORE Missions. Our new support address is below:

CORE Missions
P.O. Box 3061

*Please designate support to Jon and Brittany Beil

I look forward to emailing out some new materials and website information for our family in the near future. Within a few days, you will also be receiving a letter from Bro. Mark Bosje, the Director of FBMI, concerning our transition. If you have any questions at all, I can best be reached via email at beils2thailand@gmail.com.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you who have prayed, given, and sent messages of encouragement to us throughout deputation and our first term on the field. We consider it a privilege to represent you here in Thailand, where still less than 1% of the population claim Christianity. There is still so much work here to do; and, Lord willing, we will continue to serve here for many more years with the support of friends and churches like you. Though we look forward to seeing family and friends in the States later this year, we truly feel that Thailand is our home, and we will be ready to get back as soon as possible!

In His service,

Jonathan, Brittany, Judah, and Archer Beil
