Ricardo Leyva Prayer Letter: Showers of Blessings!April Showers Bring May Flowers

I heard that expression a few times (always in April when it rained) while we lived in the United States, before coming to the mission field. We did not have any rain in April here on the mission field. It was dry, but we did have “Showers of Blessings.” I personally saw 8 people saved. My family (wife and children) had 11 people saved.

One of the graduates from the Bible institute has a wife and two teens. His wife and teen boy were unsaved. This situation was holding back him from starting a church. We had been praying for a few years for their salvation, but to no avail. This April was the month that his wife asked Christ to save her. She got saved! Amen! She got saved! Amen! She got saved! Amen! If you are asking yourself why I wrote it three times, the answer is, “Because she got saved! Amen!” Her spirit is calmer, and she is interested in the Bible and church.

April was my birthday! Thanks to all who sent birthday cards or email greetings.

Showers of Blessings in May!

Mother’s Day was an honorable day. We served the moms who were present, and each mother received a beautiful artificial rose, handmade by my wife.

Now the rest of the story: The unsaved teenage boy, Richard, the son of the graduate mentioned above, got saved in May. Glory to God! We killed the fatted calf! I shouted, hugged him, and rejoiced with him, for him, and for my graduate, because now there is nothing to hold him back from starting a church. They will now serve God together as a family!

Please continue to pray for:

1. Our ministry.
2. My wife; she is having surgery this month (June).
3. Finances.
