Ricardo Leyva Prayer Letter: Last Few Weeks of FurloughAs we continued our furlough in April, our travels took us to the metropolitan and surrounding areas of Atlanta, Georgia. We visited several churches there. Afterwards we went to Winston-Salem for a missions conference, as well as two other churches nearby.

From there we went to the Northeast part of the country and visited two churches in the New England area. Then we came back to Indiana, our home base. We visited two churches within a two-hour driving distance to end a very busy month. (I like to be busy.) But I could not finish without mentioning that I led 8 people to the Lord while out soul winning several times during the month.

In May we only had three churches to visit: one in Illinois, one in Indiana, and one in North Carolina. It was not a busy month with regard to visiting churches, but we kept busy at our home church. I taught Sunday school once—I taught about missions and serving God—and the class responded very well to the challenge. I also made some visits to some discouraged people who lived in Chicago. While out making these visits, I led 2 people to the Lord.

The last week of the month was very busy with preparing and packing to leave the Northwest Indiana area to head south to visit some churches before heading back to the field. On Sunday, June 2, with much sadness we said goodbye to our church, both in the Spanish and English services, and left begging God to continue to bless our home church and our pastor.

Although we still have a little time left in our furlough, I can already say that God worked miracles this time more than ever in the way He provided housing, a car, meetings, safety, money, and more support for our ministry.

Please continue to pray for:

1. Safety on our way south.
2. Cuba to stay open to the Gospel.

Sincerely,

Ricardo Leyva
