Ricardo Leyva Prayer Letter: Back on Top in the Service of the LordGreetings from the Mission Field!

I have been very busy lately. After going through the trial of my life, I am back to the top in the service of the Lord. “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” (Job 23:10) I am now back to enjoying soul winning, preaching, teaching, praying, visiting, singing, laughing, and joking—some people even think that I am a little crazy. “For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.” (II Corinthians 5:13)

When Will I Be in the States?

Some of my supporting churches have contacted me asking when I will be in the States. The answer is that I don’t know the exact date, month, or week, but I do know that I will be in the States for furlough this year (2024); be patient please. I will let you know as soon as I know.

I Will Not Be Ashamed!

I read somewhere that the easiest way to embarrass a 21st-century Christian is to ask them two questions: (1) When was the last time you personally led someone to Jesus Christ? (2) When was the last time you tried? I have been going soul winning regularly, at least once a week and many times twice a week. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16) I am glad that I had a soul-winning pastor with a passion for souls and that I caught what he taught me.

My Cuban assistant, along with his family, left the country two months ago. As he had told me many times that he and his family were leaving, I knew he was serious, so I began to pray and search for an assistant. Thank God, I found a good man who loves God and loves his family, and the congregation loves him. He is my assistant now. Glory to God!

I recently had a full health checkup. I thank God that I am in good health, but I must continue to stay in good health.

Please Continue to Pray for:

1. God to lead me in everything I do.
2. The country of Cuba, salvations, and life.

Serving Christ in Cuba,
