Luis and Carolina Martinez Prayer Letter: Both Churches Growing Spiritually and in NumberIsaiah 9:6 says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” I pray you are doing well when you receive this prayer letter. My family and I are doing well, and we greatly appreciate your prayers and faithful support throughout the years. I would like to start out by wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2024. This year, we are praying and working towards finishing this year strong. Our goal is to invite many to our Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve services and present them with a clear presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We thank God for all of the souls who have been saved and baptized throughout this year. Recently during our Thanksgiving service, we had a man by the name of Iran and another man by the name of Rafael put their trust in Jesus Christ. One of our church men has been burdened about his neighbor, who is having heart problems and will be having heart surgery, and he asked if I would visit him. I visited his neighbor and was able not only to pray for a good surgery but also to share the Gospel with Monserate, who invited Jesus to be his Saviour.

I’m thankful that both churches are growing spiritually and in number. It is a true blessing to see both churches helping each other in any way possible. The route from Yabucoa is growing, and so is the route from Naguabo. I’m praying that we can plant churches in those cities.

PRAYER REQUESTS

• The church in Humacao is in need of a pastor or a missionary.
• Pray for traveling mercies for our son Jose, as he will be traveling from Hawaii to spend Christmas with us.
• Please pray for the health of our daughter Carolina Raquel. The last time I asked her how she felt, she said she was at about 85%.
• Please pray for a very important project. Recently, there was a drive-by shooting. Thank God, nobody was hurt; however, bullets did land in our property and our home. We need to build a 335-foot-long concrete fence. Our previous fence was damaged by Hurricane Maria. Materials alone are going to cost over $10,000, of which we already have $5,000. Once we have the funds for the materials, I will try to raise funds for labor or try to get a team that would help us build. Please pray!

May God continue to bless you as you serve Him faithfully. Thank you so very much for your love, prayers, and faithful support. WE ARE BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE! We believe the Lord has so many great things for us in 2024. God bless you.

In Christ,

Luis M. Martinez
