Kounaro and Chorvy Keo Prayer Letter: Open Doors on Furlough“He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” (Psalm 23:2)

We are in the States right now and are staying at my mother in-law’s home in Kansas City, Missouri. We found out about a year ago about a Cambodian American by the name of Vat Mao. He used to be a member of my home church in Long Beach, California. Many years ago, I was able to lead his grandmother to the Lord at a hospital right before she passed away.

What an amazing blessing it was to find out that he is now pastoring a church just a few minutes away from my mother in-law’s home! Thank the Lord, she is now a member of Mission View Baptist Church and is enjoying her new church. Our family was able to minister there as well, and Pastor Vat gave me the opportunity to teach Sunday school for the Cambodians in his church for about a month. It was a great blessing.

We were able to visit several churches in the Missouri area and had some great meetings. It has been very refreshing to be in American churches again and sing good old hymns in English!

My family and I were able to go soul winning in different places, and my oldest daughter Kimberlee, who is staying with us during her college summer break, had the opportunity to witness to a young couple. Praise the Lord, the husband got the reassurance of his salvation.

I was able to lead two elderly Cambodian ladies to Christ. The sister of one of the ladies is a friend of my mother-in-law and has been attending her church. She had been taught Catholicism for much of her life. Thank God, she allowed me to come to her home and share the Gospel with her and her friend in their native language.

Praise God for the doors He has opened for us to serve him while on furlough here in the States.

For Christ’s sake,

Kounaro, Chorvy, Priscilla, Christina, & Jonathan Keo
