Jonathan and Laura Bryan Prayer Letter: Children's Day and Bible ClubsOUR PRAISES

I’m not exactly sure why it is, but in many cultures, it’s far easier to see women saved, begin to attend, and serve in their local church than it is to see men. For about the last two years, we have made a concentrated effort in praying that God would send us men to grow in God’s grace. Thankfully, we are finally seeing the fruits of those prayers. We now have quite a few more men attending and serving in the church than we had before. Bro. Juan Antonio works in the brick fields outside the city and is now one of our most faithful men. He preached in our men’s class three weeks ago. Many now are praying in the services, serving, and even preaching when needed. Every Sunday morning, 30 minutes before church, our men come together in the Sunday school room to get on our knees to pray for the services. What a true blessing this is!

Another blessing we would like to share is that our older church in Guadalupe has begun to get a burden for the newest church that we are starting in the town of Calera. On Wednesday nights after the services, we set up tables, and everybody stays around to help make Gospel packets to hand out door to door. Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve been able to get out 7,000 packets, and we just made another 650 last night. In the next couple of weeks, we plan on returning to these families and presenting the Gospel to them. Pray that God will soften the hearts of the people as we return.

OUR PLANS

This Sunday, we have encouraged each child in the church to invite a friend for Día del Niño (“Children’s Day”). Many of the adults have sponsored every child by giving money towards a bag of assorted candy and a small toy. Our goal will be to present the message of Christ to each one of these new visitors. We are praying that many will make a decision for Christ and will continue to attend the church and grow in God’s Word.

Also, we have already been scouting out a few locations to have Bible Clubs in the streets this summer. Pray that God would use us to reach many children with the salvation message. Many of them only know of a Jesus who is dead and hanging on the cross. We want to introduce them to the Jesus Who is alive and seated at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for them. Thank you again for your faithful support and prayers for us over the years. Please keep praying!

OUR PRAYERS

• Pray for the men in our churches as they begin to learn how to take a leadership role.
• Please pray also for souls to be saved as we go out door-to-door soul winning.
• Pray specifically for open hearts in the town of Calera.

His servants by His grace,
