Jonathan and Brittany Beil Prayer Letter: Finished Our One-Year Language ProgramGreetings from scorching hot Thailand! Although the weather has persistently been in the triple digits the past many weeks, we love serving the Lord here, and we are grateful for your prayers and support for our family.

By God’s grace, we were able to finish our one-year language program at the end of March! This program has a laid a great foundation for us to build upon in our Thai speaking skills. We are able to read, write, and communicate in Thai now, and we know your prayers for us have made a difference. We still have much to learn, but we are grateful to be able to speak in Thai every day.

เราขอบคุณพระเจ้าที่เราสามารถพูดและอ่านภาษาไทยได้!

Now that our education visa is finished, we are working on securing a long-term missionary visa upon our return from furlough. This may sound like a small request, but sometimes it feels like mountains must move for it to be able to happen. We know that the Lord is able, and we covet your prayers for open doors in these next months to obtain the visa we are praying for.

As we continue to serve the Lord in Bangkok, there are many opportunities to preach the Gospel. This past month, we have been able to help our missionary friends in starting a new church plant in our area. We have been canvassing nearby neighborhoods with tracts to invite people to a Bible study, while also looking for a church building to rent. Over the past few weeks, God has brought over 10 new visitors to the Bible study who heard the Gospel. Please pray with us that they will trust Christ as their Saviour. Please also pray that the new church will be able to find a permanent meeting place to rent soon.

In the next few weeks leading up to furlough, I will have several special opportunities to preach and minister. I will be preaching to a group of Christian pastors visiting from India, and then I will travel to a neighboring communist country to attend a Bible college graduation and to preach in an “underground” church. I am excited to return to this country and see my friends who are faithfully preaching the Gospel. We are praying that the Lord would use us to be a blessing.

Thank you all for your prayers for us during this time leading up to our furlough and as we look forward to our new partnership with CORE Missions in Thailand. Our new support address is listed below.
