These are exciting days for the Faith Baptist Church and the ministry here in Tanzania! After much prayer, the Lord has provided for us to purchase 4.6 acres of land just outside our city. This land will be used to build “Imani Village,” containing the Imani Boys’ Home and the Imani Feeding Center. In the future, if the Lord allows, we would like to add an Imani Girls’ Home.
Partnering with Medical Missions Outreach, we have also just signed the papers to purchase a one-acre lot adjacent to our church for the Imani Baptist Clinic. Please pray for us as we wrap up the transfer process and begin looking toward construction of these incredible ministry tools.
At the end of June, we held a Kids’ Day. Over 400 children and workers were present, with 14 trusting Christ. We count it a privilege to reach the youth of Tanzania. They are our future! The following Sunday, we had many of these children return for services. Please for our children’s ministry.
On Friday before Father’s Day, we had a men’s meeting. Ninety men and boys were present, and 12 trusted Christ as their Saviour. It is a blessing to see men stepping up and leading their families. I preached a message on different men in the Bible who we find sleeping. I encouraged them with the need to wake up and serve the Lord.
The radio station is going strong, and we are seeing much fruit from this ministry, as it continues to gain listeners in our city. Visitors are coming and trusting Christ. One Sunday, a man named Alphelo came to church. He said that he had come because of our radio and wanted to visit the church. He was saved that Sunday and baptized and has joined the church.
Crusade Soccer Sunday
Please pray this year, as we are combining two of our biggest outreach days of the year. This year we are going to have our Soccer Sunday service at the stadium in our city. Our evening service will be the annual Tanzanian Stadium Crusade. We covet your prayers for these two big Sunday services. Thousands of people will be presented with a clear presentation of the Gospel in both the Sunday morning service and the Crusade. We know that the Devil is not happy about what will take place that day and will do all that he can to cause problems. We need an army of Christians who will be praying for us! The date for this event is July 28.
Faith Baptist Church
God has continued to work in our church as we have seen it grow. We just finished a needed expansion to our church building. God has also allowed us to see souls saved through the different ministries every week this year. We have also seen first-time visitors to our services every week as well. Please pray as we continue to disciple these new converts.
