Ricardo Leyva Prayer Letter: Thankful in ALL ThingsAs my daughters and I sat together for Thanksgiving dinner, I realized the importance of being thankful in life and in all things. “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (I Thessalonians 5:18)

I thank God for my salvation!

It is been 35 years since the day I got saved. I often give thanks to God for it! It keeps my heart grateful, and it keeps me going after souls.

I thank God for my friends on the mission field!

After my wife passed, I needed friends. Pastors and laymen from churches around me often called me just to give me a word of encouragement and to invite me to their houses for lunch or dinner. After a while, I started cooking for myself. I discovered that I have some culinary skills, and I can cook several things! Amen.

I thank God for my supporting churches!

Every time I needed encouragement, I received an email from one of my supporting churches. It happened many times, and every time, just when I needed it, there was a word of encouragement. I am so grateful for my supporting churches. I thank God for them.

I thank God for calling me to the ministry!

My life’s verse is, “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enable me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.” (I Timothy 1:12)

I thank God that I can still preach, win souls, and disciple new converts!

I will always be in the ministry. “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” (Romans 11:29)

I continue with the plans for taking a furlough. A couple of things are holding me up a bit. The most important is a place to stay in the United States for the time my furlough will last. Thanks so much for your friendship, financial support, prayers, and words of encouragement this year of 2023.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024!

Please pray for:

1. Me to stay healthy.
2. A place for me to stay in the USA for furlough.

In His service,

Ricardo Leyva
