Mark Rader Prayer Letter: Big Soul-Winning DayThrough the months of October and November, Christ poured out His blessings here in Peru. We finished up the first year of our team’s Institute. October was a month full of Bible studies and counseling. Amidst all the meetings, we made plans for the end of the year and for the following year. Every week souls were saved in the meantime.

November 1 is the Day of the Dead here in Peru. Many will celebrate it by visiting cemeteries to pay their respects and fix up the graves. For the last four years, our church has visited one of the world’s largest cemeteries, and the results just keep getting better. I stepped out on faith and told our church that we would have 40 people of our church out visiting that day. I told myself afterwards that it had not been wise to make a promise that I could not keep, so we went to our knees. On that day, 43 of our church members were out soul winning, and 5 of our ladies stayed back to prepare food. In all, 48 of our church members were involved in an all-day soul-winning event. We also had another church participate with us as we visited another cemetery at the other end of the city. Our church members led 119 souls to Christ that day.

We were invited to preach at a music conference at the end of November. Our church choir sang at the conference. Many great decisions were made at the conference. The pleasure is ours to see our people beginning to have biblical convictions and standards in their lives. A personal blessing that we have is that our oldest daughter Savannah is beginning to play a few songs on the piano for the church.

The thrill Is ours to make disciples here in Peru. Thank you for letting the Lord work through you to help make all this possible. Please pray for our plans for the coming year. Please pray for our team as we take on new challenges. Thank you for your love, support, and prayers. God bless you.

In Christ in Peru,
