Luis Martinez Prayer Letter: Back to NormalActs 4:12 says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” I pray that when you receive this letter you are doing well, along with your family and loved ones. My family and I are doing well and would like to thank you so much for praying for us, for investing in us, and for being a part of this ministry.

It’s been seven months since Hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated our island. I’m thrilled to report that many things have returned to normal. Several of our church families have returned to Puerto Rico. The electricity is a lot more stable, and we have made better preparations in the event this should occur again.

During the month of March, we were able to attend a Servants’ Conference at our home church, the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana. It was such a blessing to be back home for a week with Pastor Andres Gomez and to be able to see so many good friends.

During the month of April, we celebrated our 33rd church anniversary. We had many visitors attend for the first time, and we are thankful for those who were saved and baptized.

Recently a young man by the name of Daniel Martinez came to our church and was saved and baptized. Daniel’s parents and grandparents are from my hometown of Guayanilla, Puerto Rico.

Also during the month of April, our family took a missions trip to Peru. We spent several days with Missionary Zach Foust and Team Peru. I was able to preach five times. Team Peru is doing an outstanding job.

PRAYER REQUESTS

• Please pray for souls to be saved, baptized, added to the church, and discipled.
• Please pray for our church growth and its ministries.
• Please pray for more laborers.
• Please pray for the reconstruction of our Fellowship Hall, which was destroyed by the hurricanes.

May God continue to bless you as you serve Him faithfully. Thank you very much for your love, prayers, and faithful support. WE NEVER CEASE TO PRAY FOR YOU. God bless you.

In Christ,

Luis M. Martinez
