We are well into the year, and things around here are exciting! God has allowed us to see many souls saved during the first three months of the year, and we have had three baptisms. Please pray that we will see many more come to Christ and follow the Lord in baptism. Last month, a lady who has been attending our church faithfully for three years raised her hand during the invitation, indicating that she wanted someone to talk with her about salvation. She had made a profession of faith the first time she attended our church, but she now admitted that she was not saved. She was in tears before Tammie could even begin to share the Scripture with her. She listened through tears, and in a very short time, she was praying, asking Jesus to be her personal Saviour. What a thrill it was to see her make this most important decision of her life.
The theme for this year in our church, Bible institute, and school is “CONVICTION” from Daniel 1:8. This theme encompasses the entire practical Christian life. Building conviction in areas of the Bible, service, church, home, work, relationships, etc. upon the foundation of Christ is essential in a fruit-bearing Christian. Each Sunday school class will be teaching the same principles and learning how to build their own convictions based on these principles.
Our personal soul-winning goal for each week is to help at least 20 people come to Christ. This does not include the evangelism efforts in the public schools, Soul-Winning Marathons, and Bible Clubs we have throughout the year. This is our personal soul-winning effort. Please pray as we seek to win the lost for Christ.
We would like to invite you to come and see what God is doing in the work here in El Salvador. Your eyes will affect your heart as you take part in the regular weekly ministry activities and observe and participate in seeing souls come to Christ. Travel here is not too expensive, and the accommodations are comfortable. It would be a great opportunity for a youth group to visit the mission field. There is a campground less than 15 minutes from our church that could easily accommodate a group of young people. If you would like to plan something like this, feel free to contact me, and we would be glad to help you plan.
Please pray as Daniel and Megan continue with deputation. We trust that they will be joining us on the field in just a few months. Please pray for Megan, as she is carrying our third grandchild, due to make his or her appearance in April. Please pray for her as they continue traveling, and pray that she will safely deliver their baby.
Please pray for us to have wisdom in every area of the work here. We want to please our Heavenly Father in every way.
