As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I am reminded of the shortness of the time to serve the Lord. I recently led a 70-year-old man to Christ, and after doing so, I thanked the Lord that He didn’t have to wait that long to reach me. Now that I am beyond my “three score and ten,” I am so thankful that I still have the strength and ability to serve Him. I always want to be thankful for every passing day that He gives to me.
I had the opportunity to preach twice in our church during our Missions-Emphasis Month. We have many new folks and some older ones who have never participated in Faith Promise giving. It was a great joy to hear that we had over a 30% increase in our commitments and are able to take on new missionary families.
In 2007, a 16-year-old student in the eleventh grade trusted Christ as his Saviour. Four months later, he, along with his pastor and a friend, were arrested for worshipping in their house and sent to prison, where they were kept in shackles for over 16 hours a day. After two months, they were released. Instead of going back to school, he entered a Bible college to study for ministry. Today he pastors a small church in a Restricted-Access Nation and is just one of the national pastors that A.W.B.M. is able to support. Please pray that God will allow us to help others throughout Asia who are needing financial support.

We are praying for our family to be able to visit the Philippines in the next year or so and will be trying to raise about $5,000 for the airfare. Please consider having a part in this need.
