Roberto Tirado Prayer Letter: Back Home in the Dominican Republic

PRAISE

“But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:18-19) On November 6, we arrived back from our six-week furlough to our home and ministry in the Dominican Republic. Angela, Elisabeth, and I are excited to be back where God has called us to serve Jesus. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the States, reporting back to three of our supporting churches and presenting our ministry to nine new churches! We are very pleased to report that four of the nine new churches voted to take us on for financial and prayer support! Amen! We are waiting to hear from a couple more churches that would also like to take us on.

On our first Sunday back, two children got saved and made a public profession of their saving faith in Christ during our Sunday night service. God has been so good to us in giving us souls saved as we labor for Him. We have also had some first-time visitors in our recent services. God is so good!

PRAYER

Please join us in prayer that each new convert the Lord gives us would be faithful to our services and be edified by God’s Word. We have used our 2004 Kia Sedona van now for over 14 years and are praying for wisdom either to continue using it or to sell it and buy another newer used vehicle. Please pray that the Lord would give us wisdom to make the right decision.

GRATITUDE

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each church and individual who sent me birthday greetings. My family and I would like to express our gratitude to each one of the churches that invited us to either report back or present our field and work to them. God greatly blessed us in many ways through His people. On our furlough, we truly experienced God’s presence, protection, and provision.

We pray that you will have a great Christmas and a prosperous 2019. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours!

For souls,

Roberto Tirado
