Mark and Sarah Rader Prayer Letter: Church Anniversary SundayAt the beginning of May, my son Paul and I were on our way back from the jungle to Lima, Peru. I preached at a church anniversary weekend for a very influential pastor in the city of Iquitos. We came back to our church, which was ready to attack the month of May with holy firing and energy. Our children’s program and youth group were excited and winning souls, and our men were preaching on public buses. We had a great Mother’s Day, with many moms and soul saved.

The third Saturday of May, we had what was called the “Bus-a-Thon.” We divided into groups of four with a preacher for each group. Each group left with tracts, a speaker, a microphone, and bus fare to preach all day on the public buses. Seven churches participated with us this time. For nine hours, we literally preached all over the city of Lima. We preached the Gospel to more than 6,400 people on the buses. We are still following up on the contacts. The pastors who participated with us were set on fire. One of the pastors later testified that every time he had to be on a bus, he started preaching.

The next day, our church spent all Sunday afternoon folding 5,000 letters and tracts, inviting everyone to our church’s 9th anniversary. It did not take long for our church members to canvass the area, distributing these letters. Out of 5,000 letters, only one person came to our anniversary service because of the letter, but don’t misunderstand. We had a tremendous anniversary service, with our highest attendance since the pandemic. Our church families brought their own visitors, people came from a new bus route that we had started, and other churches visited for the preaching Friday and Saturday night. Souls were saved and baptized. We had three days of preaching by three different pastors named Victor. Our theme was “I Already Have Victory!” God blessed our church with renewed strength.

Please pray for our family as we prepare for an upcoming furlough. Please pray for our church to carry the torch well in our absence. Please pray for Pastor Zack Foust and Team Peru, as they will be moving forward on many projects. Pray for us as we raise funds for vehicles and property in Peru. Thank you for your love, support, and prayers. God bless you.
