Dan Siemer Prayer Letter: God's Goodness, Direction, Leading, and PathwayGod’s Goodness in Guatemala

It was great to return to Chimaltenango for the missions conference in the church pastored by Bro. Dan Wilder. God blessed the attendance and spirit. The funds needed to reach last year’s goal were given, people were saved and surrendered to serve, one man trained in the Bible institute was sent out to pastor in a nearby city, and their Faith Promise commitment grew. It was a blessing to teach in the institute in the mornings and to attend a men’s meeting as well. You can see that they are in a building program, but their focus is still centered on the Great Commission.

God’s Direction in Egypt

Somehow I thought this trip to Egypt would be like the one in February, but God answered prayers for direction and took control to accomplish His work. Bro. Whitehouse taught three core lessons of his Baptist history course before sickness kept him from finishing. As a result, the students were not distracted from these vital truths, and I was given extra time, enabling me to finish all the prepared lessons on eschatology. The students and pastors captured with joy the importance of the applications with regard to how we live and what we do. The biggest blessing personally was a new friendship with our translator, who has a son with special needs. We believe it was providential, that Lana and I might have the opportunity to minister to this dear family, albeit “long distance.” The Lord also granted the opportunity to preach in four churches, the last being on the street in this photo. Yes, the need is overwhelming! Yes, we must train national pastors to go where we cannot go.

God’s Leading to Ghana

In two days, I’m leaving again to serve the Ghana Team, their church family, and guests for their 12th Annual Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference from August 12-19, 2018. I’ve only been home from Egypt for a week and am therefore very aware that the prayers of God’s people will be absolutely necessary for God’s work and will to be done. I’ve prayed and prepared, but what exactly do these pastors, workers, missionaries, and church members from different countries need from the Lord? Only God really knows. Please join us in prayer for the power and direction of the Holy Spirit!

God’s Pathway in Indiana

Last weekend we were out knocking doors, and both my partner and I were privileged to lead someone to Christ. I was struck with God’s providence, leading me to the only two houses on the street where the residents spoke Spanish.

Thankful for your prayers and financial support,

Dan and Lana Siemer
