Bob Bowen Prayer Letter: BEST Missions Conference“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:20)

Giving thanks once again for allowing us to be able to conduct the Second Annual B.E.S.T. Missions Conference in Rogers, Arkansas. Giving thanks to the many supporting churches that attended. Giving thanks to the faithful preachers who love B.E.S.T. Missions. Giving thanks to the many new men of God who attended the conference. Giving thanks for the $16,200 offering received for printing the Word of God. What a blessing it is to help print the Word of God for those who have never seen a Bible.

I want to give thanks for Colonial Baptist Church and Pastor Claud Slate for hosting the conference once again. They did a wonderful job of meeting every need and providing outstanding meals!

Giving thanks for the Spirit-filled preaching of the men of God who came our way this year, Dr. Howard Hall and Dr. Bob Gray II. Thank God for those who are faithful to preach the truth.

As we look forward to next year, please encourage folks to attend and receive a blessing. The dates for the 2020 conference will be September 7-8. The guest preacher will be our pastor, John Wilkerson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana. We have many special events scheduled. See the brochure enclosed, and mark the dates!

I was able to travel again this month and preach several times. I preached at three Missions Conferences and an all-men’s meeting. I was asked to teach a missions class by way of FaceTime over the phone.

The Lord continues to bless us in raising support for printing Bibles. My ministry is basically presenting the need for Scripture for those who have never seen a copy of God’s Word and helping pastors with their missions-giving programs.

Mrs. Bowen and I celebrated 53 years of marriage on September 24. Giving thanks to the Lord for a good wife, 3 wonderful children, 8 grandchildren (plus 5 spouses!), and 6 great-grandsons. Amen! Jackie and I have known each other since the 4th grade. We can truly say thanks to the Lord for all His many blessings!

I’m so very thankful for faithful men of God who allow me to come and preach at their Missions Conferences. Pastor Dexter Landers is such a man, who for many years has entertained B.E.S.T. Missions. His church always takes a special offering for printing Bibles. This year was no exception. Thank the Lord for nearly $4,000 they generously gave!

Dr. Curtis Hall and I preached a Missions Conference in Hartford City, Indiana, at Blackford Baptist Temple. Pastor Johnny Crane has only been there 2½ years, but he has already made a great impact. I have known Pastor Crane since he was one year old. His dad was a missionary on the foreign field before becoming a pastor in Gulfport, Mississippi. Dr. Steve Crane has been my friend for nearly 30 years. He has taught his son and daughter well. Thank God for men of God who do not drive their children away from serving the Lord.

B.E.S.T. was able to provide Bibles for a group of people in Zimbabwe, Africa. When a group of 11 men from Longview Baptist Temple were planning the trip to Zakwe, we were able to find the only Bibles available in the world printed in their language of Ndebele. B.E.S.T. had all 100 whole Bibles and 289 New Testaments shipped from England to the States. The men will carry them to Africa in their luggage. Your giving has once again provided the Word of God for a Bible-less people. Thank you, and thank the Lord!

If you would like to see pictures of Bibles being given out, please visit bestmissions.org. There are also videos that show what else the Lord is doing through B.E.S.T. Missions.

Dr. Curtis Hall and I are planning a trip to Southeast Asia after the first of the year. Hopefully, we can place another order for whole Thai Bibles at that time. Our warehouse is out, and the need is so great. Please pray as we put together our 27th container of Scriptures for Southeast Asia.

Last year, we produced a soul-winning booklet to train Thai people how to be personal soul winners. We printed 500 last year and are in need of printing them again. We are also printing 10,000 John & Romans in the Thai language for the upcoming public-school Christmas programs. Tens of thousands of children will hear the Gospel and will receive their very own copy of the Scriptures. It is impossible to keep up with the demand for Scriptures in Southeast Asia. We only print when the funds are available.

I am glad to announce that Missionary Randy Shook is now a representative of B.E.S.T. Missions. He lives in Asheboro, North Carolina. If you would like to contact him, his phone number is 336-328-5767. Brother Shook has faithfully served the Lord for many years, and he knows firsthand about distributing Scripture in Southeast Asia. He served several years as a missionary in Thailand.

Please pray as we continue to supply the needed Scripture to the people of the world who do not have a Bible. This work of faith is not possible without God’s people praying and giving. If you would like to help, please send your gift to B.E.S.T. Missions, 1599 West Olive Street, Rogers, AR 72756. Thank you so much. We love you folks.

Into all the world,

Bob Bowen
