Ghana National Pastor Spotlight: A Need for Land in the CityThank you for partnering with Team Ghana and our church-planting efforts. Please pray that, through these men, their families, and ministries, the Word of God would be glorified.

Pastor Collins Agyei

“I have been praying for laborers in my ministry, and God sent to us Isaac Owusu Ansah, a man of like faith, to help with our Jachie church plant. He has started attending Hyles-Anderson College of West Africa for additional training in the ministry. The college schedule allows him to continue serving at the Fundamental Baptist Church in Jachie.” – Adwafo, Ashanti Region, Ghana

Pastor Gyasi Boateng

“I preached the Gospel to some students at a Presbyterian school, and several of them got saved. Five of them were Muslim.”

Editor’s Note: Pastor Boateng pastors in the metropolitan area of Kumasi. Land is very expensive in the city. His church rents a school room on Sundays. The school rooms next to theirs are rented out to other churches. One plot of land would cost at least $5,000.

“We are facing some challenges at our church in Asawasi. Charismatic churches have surrounded us with their tongues-speaking, dancing, and playing of drums. At the end of 2016, we decided to take up special offerings that would go towards buying land and constructing a building. We collected about 1,200 Ghana cedis [about US$285]. Our desire is to purchase land for our church, so we need your prayers.” – Asawasi, Kumasi, Ghana

If you are interested in helping purchase land for Fundamental Baptist Church in Asawasi, please email our team leader, Pastor Ted Speer, at tedspeer@fbmi.org. Thank you!

Pastor Christian Gafatsi

In our November 2016 update, Pastor Gafatsi told of winning Stephen Asamoah to Christ at a barber shop. Stephen’s story of grace continues this month! “Stephen Asamoah [on left in picture] is growing in the Lord. He is coming to soul winning. He comes on time to our church services, and he has started teaching Sunday school. Earlier this year, Stephen enrolled at Hyles-Anderson College of West Africa. He travels to Kumasi each month to spend one week preparing for the Gospel ministry. Stephen has been a great blessing to our church.” – Bediako, Tema, Ghana

Pastor George Menyon

“Praise the Lord for our national conference, which was held in Ganta, Nimba County. [Ganta is the second largest city in Liberia.] We had over 300 in attendance. Nearly 200 made professions of faith in Christ. Also, thank the Lord for a family, living in my community, who got saved earlier this month. Mr. Sam Bernie and his wife Agatha, along with their two children, are now faithfully coming to church. Please pray for our Bible institute that the Lord will help the students to be faithful and to get the proper training.” – Monrovia, Liberia
