Wes Palla Prayer Letter: A Great Mother's Day With Many Saved!

This is one of those months where it is easy to write a letter to you. Sometimes there are difficulties or trials, and other times we are sailing on calm seas with a favorable wind. In either situation, God is always working, and I have found it best to follow His leading. He has always been very good to us.

Because of your prayers, there are several encouraging things to report. We have seen several folks saved while out door knocking, and three Sundays ago we had three new adult visitors in the morning service, whom I was able to lead to the Lord after church. We have two new families that have started to attend our Portuguese services regularly. We had Baby Dedication Sunday, with five babies dedicated (one of whom was our youngest daughter Mariella). One of the older ladies, who has attended our church since its inauguration, was telling me this past Sunday night after church about three friends whom she has been inviting each week to come to church with her. Thank the Lord for people who get a burden to reach their friends and neighbors! Even our attendance numbers have been creeping upwards over the past two months. Our goal is to be averaging 50 in every service by our one-year anniversary.

Our Mother’s Day service was a huge success. We had over 80 people attend, and two-thirds of the crowd were adults. We had over 30 first-time visitors, and 12 adults made a profession of faith. Thank you all for praying! Please pray that the follow- up visits go equally well. It would be wonderful to see some of the new families stick.

Would you pray with us for some men I’ve been visiting and whom we’ve been praying for? We want to see the Lord get them into church and attending faithfully. Please pray for one of our men, Antonio, who is 32 and has been diagnosed with leukemia. His treatments have been going well, but as many of you know, he has a long road of treatment ahead of him.

We appreciate your prayers and faithful support. You are in our prayers, and we always get a blessing when we see or hear about what God is doing in your churches. What a great time to be alive and spreading the Gospel!

Declaring His glory,

Wesley Palla
