Wes Palla Prayer Letter: A Month of Wonderful BlessingsThis past month has been a month of wonderful blessings. God has been so good to allow us to continue to serve Him and to see His hand at work. A couple of weeks ago, I received word from the church we planted in Guarulhos that they’d had a special Children’s Day that Sunday, with many first-time guests and 18 people making salvation decisions. I love to hear how that church is continuing to work to reach their Jerusalem.

Here locally during our time in the U.S., we have also been blessed to continue to see souls saved. Recently one Saturday, Cynthia and I knocked on the door of a lady in her mid-70s. She invited us in from the cool weather, and I began to show her from the Bible how she could have the certainty of eternal life and a personal relationship with the Lord. About 20 minutes later, she asked Jesus to be her Saviour! In another church where we were, I was able to preach both Sunday morning and Sunday evening. The pastor shared with us in the evening service that after the service that morning, a man had come to his office needing to be saved. He’d gotten it settled that morning. Praise the Lord!

The last bit of news that brings me great joy is the birth of our healthy firstborn son, Wesley Michael, Jr.! He was born on October 17. I drove all night from a Missions Conference to make it in time for his arrival, and by God’s grace, I made it. I had some help from the nursing staff, who delayed inducing just so that I could be present. Momma and Baby are both doing very well. Thank you so much to all of you who lifted up Cynthia and our son in prayer throughout the pregnancy. Our hearts are full when we think of all the wonderful things God has done and is doing in our family and in our ministry. Thank you so much for partnering with us.

I look forward to sharing a little bit more in our next letter about the preparations for our next church plant in the northeast of Brazil. We are honored to represent you and to carry the message of the Gospel to the thousands of towns that are waiting to hear of God’s salvation.

Declaring His glory,

Wesley Palla
