Wes and Cynthia Palla Prayer Letter: Helping the Home During Family MonthWe are privileged to share encouraging news with you from Salvador, Brazil. God has continued to bless, and we are grateful to share some snippets of what has been going on here in the northeast of Brazil.

One of our young men, Thiago, has been growing by leaps and bounds over the past couple of months. He started attending around six months ago, got saved and baptized, went through discipleship, and has been inviting people left and right. Over the past month and a half, he has had at least 10 first-time visitors in church, and one of those will be starting discipleship this week. There is nothing like a young Christian excited about getting the Gospel out!

Another story is Mrs. Katia. She was invited by Edilza, a lady who has attended our church for about four months. Katia used to sing in a traveling Gospel group all over Brazil. She went through a divorce several years back and was discouraged at the church options around her. When Edilza brought her to church, she was thrilled about what we preach and teach. She has attended faithfully every week since that first visit. She recently completed our discipleship course, joined the church, and is now singing in the choir and teaching sign language to some of our church folk. You see, both of Katia’s children were born deaf, and she is fluent in Brazilian sign language. She has a zeal for soul winning, and because of her ability to communicate with the deaf, we can now reach an entirely new demographic here in our city. Thank the Lord for more open doors and for more able laborers!

This month is Family Month in our church. We praise the Lord for high attendances so far this month and for hearts that are open to receive what the Bible teaches about the home. Cynthia had a great Ladies’ Banquet for Mother’s Day, with over 50 in attendance and 4 decisions to trust Christ. We have also had the opportunity to sit down with numerous people who have opened up about some struggles in their home lives. This has given us the opportunity to see 2 other souls ask Jesus to forgive them and save them and has already added a new couple to the church.

Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support. Please continue to pray for these new believers to grow and bear fruit for God’s glory. We love and appreciate you.

Declaring His glory,

Wesley Palla
