Teerapat and Tiffany Phaisarnpiwat Prayer Letter: A New StartI want to thank everyone who has prayed, reached out, and even donated towards my teeth situation. Thankfully, the infection has finally cleared up. At the end of November, I will begin the next step—surgery to replace the bone that was eroded by the infection.

Monsoon season was a bit rough for us this year. We had a lot of torrential rain and flooding, and our church ceiling over the stairs collapsed. We praise the Lord that our landlord repaired the ceiling for us, and we didn’t have to pay for any of the expenses. I also got to witness to the repairmen.

Visiting Speaker

We were blessed with a visit from our friend, Pastor Gideon. He has been a great encouragement and friend to us and our church over the past few years. Every time he is in town, our church enjoys hearing him preach. It had been awhile since the last time Pastor Gideon had visited. We promoted a special service and had a great crowd, along with some salvations. He and his wife started a church in a village right across the border in Myanmar. He has turned the church over to a national pastor, and they have temporarily returned to America.

A New Start

“And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.” (Matthew 10:14) Due to several different situations that have occurred, our church is moving locations. During October, we prepared to move. The church youth helped pack, clean, and move everything. The dividing wall that we knocked down to have one big room for our auditorium had to be put back up again. When taking down the church sign, it fell and cut my head. My nephew and another young boy who were helping asked me if I was going to give thanks to God for my injury. Our previous Wednesday night Bible study was about giving thanks in everything, even in bad situations. I immediately told the boys yes. I am thankful for a lesson in safety and that the wound wasn’t deep enough to need stitches. God used this situation to reinforce our Bible study and allowed me to be an example to them.

Temporarily, we are meeting at our home for church services. We are hoping to lease some land to build a building for our church. Please pray for wisdom, for us to find a new place for our church, and for us to be able to make an impact in the new area we move to. The blessing is that since we’ve started meeting in our home, a family that hadn’t come in nearly a year has begun coming again, and we have had visitors. In Sunday school, the children have been learning about Jesus’ disciples and how to be a disciple of Him. Two weeks in a row, a girl brought a friend, just like they’ve been learning to do.
Christmas

We have excitedly begun to plan our Christmas program and activities that can be held whether we find a new place before Christmas or have to celebrate the birth of our Saviour at our house. Christmas is one of the biggest highlights of our church’s year. Being in a transition period, we probably won’t be able to go as big as other years, but as one of my wife’s favorite hymns says, “Little is much when God is in it!” Please pray that we may share the greatest Gift ever given to many during the Christmas season.

God bless,

Teerapat and Tiffany Phaisarnpiwat
