Thank you for praying for me and the ministry here in Thailand. I trust the Lord has been blessing you as He has us. We had a wonderful Easter Sunday. It was a special treat for our new converts who had never celebrated this holiday before. Many partook of the Lord’s Supper for the first time, and we showed a short video on the Crucifixion and the Resurrection of Jesus before the message. It really was a memorable time for our people.

The children enjoyed learning about Jesus’ great love for them, and they did some special crafts to help them remember Jesus’ sacrifice for them on the Cross. After the service, we had an Easter Egg Hunt with color-coded eggs that allowed the children to collect up to ten free gifts. Seeing the smiles on their faces, it was evident that they have never received so many gifts at one time before. I’m sure they won’t be forgetting this special Sunday or the fact that this is when we celebrate that Jesus gave the world the greatest gift of all—the gift of eternal life.

We were finally feeling somewhat back to normal after the partial lockdown earlier in the year, but the Tuesday after Easter, a cluster of COVID cases was found in our town. The number of cases increased to the point that the government put us in a partial lockdown again. We are still in that state. People are able to shop and go to work, but we are limited to the number of people that can meet together. So, we have had to go back to online services.

During this time, our staff has utilized many different ways to keep in contact with our people to try and be a blessing and an encouragement to them. We were able to distribute food bags to all of our church members. Along with each food bag, we gave them five “God Loves You” cards to share with their friends, neighbors, and workmates. These cards offered the recipient the opportunity to contact us if they were in need of food, and we would bring them some.

Our members were thrilled to be able to share this blessing with others. Over the past few weeks, we have been able to distribute 50 bags to non-church members in need, and we have seen over 100 souls trust Christ. It was humbling to sit and listen to their stories, receive their heartfelt thanks for the gift of food for their families, give them the hope of the Gospel, and pray for them that the Lord would bless and protect them and their loved ones.

Please pray for us, as we plan to start having in-person services again in June. Thank you for your continued love and support.

Serving the Master joyfully,

Shari House
