Ron and Laura Back Prayer Letter: Prison Ministry Progressing!God is so good! We have seen so many things progressing in our Prison Ministry. It is wonderful that we have already been able to direct two former inmates to a church. We are praying that one young man named Apple would be able to come to Calvary Baptist Church. He was released into the town right next to us. During Bible study, we had another man named Troy, who never understood that we need to confess our sins to maintain a relationship with God the Father. When we reveal these truths and the prisoners learn them, it is so wonderful to see the spark in their eyes and see them realize that there is now hope to be able to please God.

We are pleased to announce that we have a new grandson, Phoenix Denny, born September 13, 2023. Abby and the baby are doing well.

Also in September, we were able to serve at the National Baptist Fellowship meeting, where we had almost 600 delegates representing the majority of independent Baptist churches in Australia. It was good to be able to make new friends and make contact with several new pastors.

We have several pressing prayer requests. We ask you to pray for a dear friend, Pastor Nick Watt, a missionary in New Zealand who needs housing. They have to be out of their house in 29 days, and their new housing fell through. It is a huge challenge for them. Housing seems to be one way that Satan is working on several people in the ministry. My pastor, Sam Carns, has been trying to sell his house in Indiana for the past 13 months and cannot purchase another home where he is until that closes. We want to praise the Lord though, because the church that he went to start in Georgia is doing well and seeing people saved. I also need prayer for my friend Rodney Evans, who is 50 years old, in great physical shape, and had a massive heart attack just last week. He has a wife and seven children still at home and has a heart for serving God. Please pray that he recovers without any lasting effects. Please also pray for our soul-winning efforts and for more people to be saved and baptized for Christ. We also need Gospel tracts in Farsi, Arabic, Chinese, Filipino languages. These would be a great help to the ministry at Fulham Prison.

Sincerely,

Ron Back
