Robert Tirado Prayer Letter: Five Years in the Dominican RepublicDear Pastor and Praying Friends,

PRAISE

“As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.” (Proverbs 25:25) In this month of February, my family and I celebrate five years of serving our God and our supporting churches in the Dominican Republic. God has been more than gracious to my family and me and has honored us with the calling to preach the Gospel of Christ to the Dominican and Haitian peoples. Our church continues to have first-time visitors and to see souls saved, with 5 more precious souls putting their faith in Christ as Saviour in the month of January.

PRAYER

Please pray for the people of Great Commission Baptist Church as we labor together to evangelize the lost and teach the saved to do the same. Our church has had the challenge and blessing of reaching people in two different communities in Western Santo Domingo since September of 2013. Another prayer request is for an increase in the number of regulars from within our new community. Please pray for our trip Stateside in March 2014 to take care of paperwork for our Residence Visas. We also plan to see family; Angela and I are excited to meet our grandson Elijah for the first time! Please pray for our people during our short trip to the States; we pray that we can be back on the field within one month.

GRATITUDE

Thank you to all of our faithful supporting churches who have lifted up fervent and effectual prayers on our behalf and continue to do so. Thank you also for your faithful and generous financial support of my family and ministry over the years as foreign missionaries. We are so grateful for the churches that were able to send us Christmas greetings and Christmas offerings. I would like to especially thank the ladies of the Deaf Circle, First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana, for the monetary gift they sent to my family for Christmas.

For souls,

Roberto Tirado
