Paul and Ling Awi Lung Prayer Letter: God's Blessings in 2022Praise God and greetings to you in the loving name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The Lord has been so gracious and brought us to another blessed new year to enjoy the blessings of serving Him and carrying the Gospel of Jesus to the needy people across the globe who have not yet received Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.

The years 2021 and 2022 were not good years for us, but God’s program was very significant and different for us. After the effects of COVID, we have more unity. Many people lost their lives, but God has given us new believers at church. My heart rejoices for these new believers. The military government made several rules and regulations for us to follow and are pressing us to do things in a different way, but God is at work in our churches across the country.

We recognize the fact that God is working by the attendance at our Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s services. The attendance at these services is proof that God has been greatly working in our midst. We are just enjoying God’s grace and love. The attendance at our church services is growing in numbers. We had 88 people baptized in 2022, increasing our tithes and Faith Promise for missions, along with money for our Building Fund. They gave in unbelievable ways. I finally just admitted it and said, “Thank You, Lord, for Your blessings on us. Even though You have taken away many good givers in my church, You have given us good people again.” God’s plans are always perfect for His children. Amen.

Looking ahead, we are seeking God’s guidance for our lives so that we can do more works for His kingdom in the days to come. Please continue praying for us, as we are aiming to establish more local churches. Amen.

Prayer Requests

1. We are praying that we will be able to come to the U.S. for furlough from June through August 2023 to raise funds for three church buildings; one church will cost $3,600 for just a simple church building.
2. Please contact me if you are interested in providing assistance to churches that are praying for finances for their church buildings.
3. Pray for our health. My wife and I are becoming older year after year. We need strength and God’s power so that we can be of use for the ministries.
4. Pray for political change in our country; we need new leaders who would allow us to serve freely.

Yours in His vineyard,
