For those of you who don’t know, my dear wife Jolie was rushed to the hospital in Warsaw on Thursday, August 24, 2023, with a major stroke. Within a few short hours, they had put her into an induced coma and told us that the next 24 hours were extremely vital.
“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;
and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.”
(Malachi 4:2)
While I was at the hospital the next day, the 25th, the doctor told me that Jolie was breathing well enough, so they had decided to remove her from the ventilator to see how she would progress further with her breathing. She is now awake and alert as she can be. The next hurdle is for her to hold her own with her breathing. When I visited Jolie that day, she seemed in good spirits. I told her that there are many friends, along with people we don’t even know, praying for her.
In the latest update from the doctors, Jolie has now been without the ventilator and breathing on her own and conscious for eight hours. The doctor said that he’s very optimistic about her healing. We would still appreciate your further prayers for the days ahead, as she still has the loss of movement on the left side of her body.
