Mshama and Martha Kinyonga Prayer Letter: God Is GoodWe have had a lot happen since our last prayer letter. God is good no matter the circumstances. We wanted to give everyone an update on Martha. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. She will have 12 rounds of chemotherapy every other week into December. She has labs drawn on the mornings of her chemotherapy treatments. Then if those numbers are good, she can continue treatment; if not, we wait until the numbers are good. Then after these treatments have been completed, she will have surgery. Thank you for all your prayers, cards, gifts, monies, etc. All these thoughtful and generous gestures truly humble us and make us feel extremely loved. Thank you for joining us on this journey. We are excited to see how God will continue to get the glory. Pray that we can see more souls saved through it all. Pray that we don’t miss any opportunities to do just that.

Life and ministry still go on in Tanzania. We are thankful for the leadership God has placed there. People are growing and still getting saved. Ministries are at full strength, and we are happy about that. We had a Men’s Meeting last month, with many of our men attending. They had a great time of fellowship and learning. A new bus route has been started in an area called CCT. What fun times these are to be challenged to fill up a bus—but we don’t want just numbers. Each person who comes to church is a soul, and we want salvations, baptisms, discipleship, and reproduction. Please pray that we will stay strong in doing these things so a true change can be seen in Tanzania.

In August, I will be returning to Tanzania for a month to be there for our church’s anniversary, along with seeing our first group of Bible college students graduate; there will be 11 of them. We are excited for them, and we pray that God will use them in a great way. Please be in prayer for that big day. Also, there will be some small building projects and fixings around the church that I would like to oversee. Lastly, there is a potential new church plant in Dodoma, which is the country’s capital. I will also be traveling there to see the area, pray about it, and get a better insight into the future church there.

As you can see, God is still working. As long as we are willing to be used, His power and grace reach many continents. We love and appreciate all of you. Thank you for your faithfulness to us, and thank you for the extra love offerings and prayers and understanding. We truly have grown already, and God is using each of you to show His love and mighty power. Thank you for allowing God to use you all to encourage us.

I want to give you all of our Stateside information for now. If we can be a help to you or answer any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
