“And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him . . . .” (I Samuel 3:19)
In a shame-filled, wicked time, a young servant boy named Samuel grew up, preparing to influence a nation for eternity. To this day, his story is a happy example of our Father’s ability to use even a small boy to do big things for Him. While recent news and events fuel uncertainty and fear, we are glad to be reminded of our Father’s ability to raise up bright lights in a dark place!
We are thanking our Father for His children who are influencing others. A couple of weeks ago, Mr. W brought a longtime friend to a meeting. This man had previously accepted the truth, and Mr. W brought him to be “washed.” We are thankful for our Father’s work in both of their lives.
One day after praying for a chance to share the Good News, I was able to talk to a Brazilian man. His wife is a “friend” and has begun participating in meetings. After encouraging him to become a “friend” too, he said, “Just last night, I told my wife that something is missing. Maybe this is what is missing.” I assured him it was! My wife was also able to share with his eight-year-old daughter, and she chose to accept! Please ask our Father for this man to choose Him. Please also pray for his family, as they have some serious health issues.
This last month, our Father has brought a new desire to learn and serve to several “friends” here. We are thankful for His work!
Our family is preparing to take a quick trip to the States this summer. We are planning to visit some of our family, as well as a few assemblies, from June 17 to July 12. Please pray that this trip would be just what our Father wants it to be. Also, we will need to borrow or rent a minivan or SUV while we are there. Please pray for guidance and wisdom in this area. Anyone who knows of any options, please feel free to let us know.
We are so excited that we get to serve where He has placed us! What an amazing Father we have! Thank you so much for your prayers!
