Missionary #6004 Prayer Letter: Preparing to Leave for the Field“But they that wait upon the LORD . . . shall mount up with wings as eagles . . . .” (Isaiah 40:31)

As I mentioned in the video update last month, we have submitted our visa paperwork. The above verse is our hope as we wait for our visas to be approved, so that we can mount up on a plane with wings and get back to the field. Two weeks after turning in all of the information for our visas, the Taiwan office made me aware of a minor in-office mistake that set us back a couple of weeks. I am happy to say, however, that our information is now moving forward. Your continued prayer for the universal missionary problem of visas is still necessary and greatly appreciated. We want to say thank you again to all of the supporting churches that have faithfully waited with us to get to this point. The Lord is leading, and I believe He has great things to be done once we get established back on the field.

We also wanted to say a special thank you to all of those who gave over and above during the Christmas season. Your generosity and thoughtfulness during that season was extremely appreciated. It has specifically helped in getting the paperwork prepared for our visa applications. Throughout our deputation travels, we have been blessed to have all of our needs provided by our faithful, consistent, giving supporters. Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you. We are confident His faithfulness to all of us will continue as we return to the field.

While waiting on the Lord’s will, we have been watching for His will here as well. On February 25, I met V___ and D___. Both decided that the plan of salvation made good sense to them. They both bowed their heads and trusted Jesus as their Saviour. On March 2, while helping to make a Sunday school visit, I had the opportunity to meet J___, the 17-year-old daughter of the lady we were visiting. After asking if she ever talked with her mom about Jesus, I had the opportunity to present the Gospel to her. She was happy to hear of God’s love and gladly accepted His gift of salvation.

I would also like to tell you about a friend of mine in China. His name is S___. He is a very zealous soul winner. He is glad to share his faith in Christ wherever he goes. Recent troubles have forced him to be more cautious about how freely he shares his opinions, but he continues to look for opportunities despite the dangers. He recently mentioned he was planning to start an office for his business in a country that has a high concentration of Muslims. He is excited at the opportunity to be a witness there. Please pray for him to have wisdom in this venture.

Bound to His service,
