Missionary #6004 Prayer Letter: I Will Guide Thee with Mine Eye“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” (Psalm 32:8)

In the last two months, I’ve had the privilege of preaching in Indiana, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Michigan. We’ve been involved in missions meetings, Missions Conferences, Vacation Bible School, and a tent revival in South Chicago! It was exciting to see the Lord working in all these different places, through all these different ministries, and with all these different avenues of life. God is not dead, nor doth He sleep! He knoweth each path that I take. He leadeth me, oh blessed thought!

He has certainly been leading in the last few months in many ways. R___ had the privilege of leading J___, a teenage young man, to Christ. T___ led several people to the Lord. I had the privilege of leading D___ J___, D___, J___, and R___ to Christ over the last several weeks. I saw D___ coming down the sidewalk, and I thought there was no way I could get to her before she went into the building where she was headed, so I turned and headed for a bus stop. Some people were waiting there, but a nagging thought made me look back to see if I was right about D___. I had been wrong. She had passed the building and was still walking toward me. I turned around and headed back toward her. When I got close enough, I offered her a tract. She gladly took it and began talking to me about it. She said, “I don’t know that anyone can know for sure they are going to Heaven.” I showed her I John 5:13, “. . . that ye may know that ye have eternal life . . . .” She was surprised to see that. As she listened, I was able to lead her through the plan of salvation. She then decided to trust Christ to save her!

In my last letter, I mentioned that we had been soul winning at the park, and a good number of people had accepted Christ. My wife and our daughter met N___ and J___ at that time. They were both unbelievers, but they were obviously searching. Later, as my wife was texting them, they said they would like to come to church. After a couple of weeks of hurdles, they finally made it! They really enjoyed the service, and the sermon moved their hearts, but they didn’t get saved. Later at lunch, we discussed salvation more and tried to help them come to Christ. Though many questions were answered and topics discussed, they still felt unable to pray at that time. Please be in prayer for them to believe as we continue to work with them.

We will be attending several more conferences this fall as we are seeking the Lord’s will on heading back to the field! Mainland China has become a closed door to many of the missionaries we know. The Lord, for now, has indicated to us also that we will not get back to Ningbo at this time. However, He has opened several doors of opportunity overseas for us to continue working with the Chinese people, as well as improve our language skills until the opportunity to return to Ningbo is restored. One opportunity is in Singapore, and another is in the Republic of China, otherwise known as Taiwan. Both locations are populated by Mandarin Chinese-speaking people and have not only great potential for salvations, but also for discipling Chinese to reach their own people! Please pray for the Lord to make our way plain as we navigate the decisions involved in returning to the field.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. Praise God for the souls that have been saved and those growing in the Lord.

Please pray for:

• Direction as we return to field • Converts under lockdowns in Mainland China
• E___ returning to college • Divine favor with official paperwork
• COVID restrictions removed • N___ and J___ to be saved
• Laborers willing to go

Bound to His service,
