Micah Christiansen Prayer Letter: Giving ThanksAbbie and I enjoyed a good Thanksgiving and hope you did as well. We have many blessings for which to be thankful over the last two months. One blessing is that we have been able to enjoy more time with family. Abbie’s parents allow us to stay at their home in between meetings, so we get to see them often. Due to having meetings in Michigan, we were also able to visit some of my family three times in the last two months! I believe that is a record for me!

In October we had the treat of spending time with family as a part of deputation! My sister and brother-in-law, Mike and Ruth Morrissey, are missionaries to the Philippines, and we were both invited to the same missions conference. We were housed together, so we got to spend a lot of time together. Mike and I even got to do some unscheduled soul winning together when a high school down the street from where we were staying dismissed. Together we saw 3 teenagers get saved!

Abbie and I are also thankful for having a full schedule during these two months. Every week we were presenting our ministry in at least one new church. We are treated so well everywhere we go and are thankful for the many new friends we make. Churches often spoil us, but Lakecrest Baptist Church got the creativity award for throwing a “birthday party” for all the missionaries in their conference. It was not really anyone’s birthday, but we sure got a lot of gifts!

I am thankful for the many prayers for my mom and her cancer. The doctors gave us no hope initially that she would live to this time, but God chose otherwise! A recent test showed that the tumors on her liver have not grown, and her nerve pain is completely gone. She is recovering from having a femur break due to a tumor eating away at the bone, but she should be with us into the new year. Please continue to pray for God’s provision, guidance, and grace for my parents.

Please pray for our schedule to fill up in the new year and for Abbie and me to be a blessing to each church we visit. Thank you for your prayers; they do make a difference!

Yours for souls,

Micah Christiansen
