Luis Martinez Prayer Letter: Christians Traveling Great Distances to Attend ChurchDear Christian Friends,

Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” I pray you are doing well when you receive this prayer letter. My family and I are doing well, and we greatly appreciate your prayers.

We are thrilled at what the Lord continues to do here in Puerto Rico. We now have people attending our church from Las Piedras and Juncos. These are two cities about an hour and a half away. We also have a man attending from Guayama, Puerto Rico, who travels two hours each way in order to attend church. I’m amazed that there are still Christians who travel great distances in order to attend church and also rejoice while doing so.

Recently a lady attended our church, and during the invitation she felt convicted about being saved but was not willing to come forward. That week she ended up in the hospital very ill. She contacted her son and asked him to contact me to ask me if I would come to the hospital to tell her how to be saved. I immediately went to the hospital, and Lily was sweetly saved. She also came to church and followed the Lord in believer’s baptism.

Another young lady I recently baptized was Jomarie. Jomarie is the daughter of a man named Melvin. I led Melvin to Christ several years ago, and I was blessed to have the opportunity to baptize his daughter. Jomarie is now learning how to be a soul winner. His entire family is now in church, attending faithfully and growing in the Lord.

Please pray for our Spring Program during the month of April. We are praying for God to do some great things and that many souls would be saved, baptized, and added to the church.

Luis M. Martinez
