Luis Martinez Prayer Letter: 19 Years in Puerto RicoI Timothy 1:12 says, “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.” I pray that when you receive this letter, you are doing well, along with your family and loved ones. My family and I are doing well and would like to thank you so much for being a part of this ministry. During the month of August, I get to celebrate 19 years of service here in Puerto Rico. I am reminded of the great honor that the Lord has given me, by allowing me to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to these wonderful people. I am truly blessed beyond measure!!

The summer months were very busy for us; we conducted a month-long camp and Vacation Bible School. We thank the Lord for all the teens and children who heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and were saved. We had the opportunity to attend Candidate School and Youth Conference at our home church, the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana.

While traveling in the United States, I was able to visit several of our faithful supporting churches. On a Sunday morning, my family and I were in Williamsburg, Kentucky, visiting the New Zion Baptist Church and my dear friend of over 20 years, Pastor Darrell Hurst. That Sunday evening I traveled to Pacolet, South Carolina, to be with the Morning Star Baptist Church and Pastor Andrew Carrigan. These two churches have a heart for missions.
