Luis and Carolina Martinez Prayer Letter: That Your Fruit Should RemainJohn 15:16 says, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” I pray that when you receive this letter, you are doing well, along with your family and loved ones. My family and I are doing well and would like to thank you so much for partnering with us as we continue winning the lost in Puerto Rico.

Recently, I received a phone call and was asked to pray for a lady on her deathbed. I arrived at the place, and before praying, I was able to read the plan of salvation. The lady squeezed my hand, indicating she had received Jesus Christ as her Saviour. I was also able to witness to her son, who was present, and he was also saved.

Several years ago, I was able to lead a famous musician to Christ here in our city. This past December, he passed away. I gave the family a picture of their father being saved, so they asked me to preach the funeral. To my surprise, there were several hundred people attending the funeral. Due to COVID restrictions, everyone was spread apart, but you could hear a pin drop in the auditorium as I shared the same message of salvation I had shared with Ismael. Immediately after the funeral, people came up to me, giving testimony of being saved.

It was such a huge blessing to have Missionary Osmin Gutierrez from Honduras with us, along with his family. His wife and son sang for us, and the preaching really encouraged and challenged us to do more for missions and the cause of Christ.

We also had Bro. Jared Gastrock with us, along with his family. Bro. Gastrock is planning on retiring from the United States Marines in 2024 and then moving to Puerto Rico to help us here in the ministry. Please pray for this family as they prepare to make this very important move. I thank God that He is still sending laborers to Puerto Rico.

PRAYER REQUESTS

• Pray for direction for our son Luis, as he graduates this year from Hyles-Anderson College.
• During the month of March, we emphasize missions! Please pray that we can do more locally and globally.

May God continue to bless you as you serve Him faithfully. Thank you very much for your love, prayers, and faithful support. GOD IS ALWAYS GOOD! God bless you.

In Christ,

Luis M. Martinez
