Keith Baker Prayer Letter: Eagerly Awaiting Our Return to the FieldIn our last prayer letter, I gave an update on a few medical setbacks that I had been experiencing. Shortly after you received that report, we began to receive news of the virus outbreak.

Unfortunately, my dad lost the battle with COVID-19 complications on May 1. Like so many World War II veterans, William D. Baker served honorably in the Pacific Theater. He also, like so many, survived the Great Depression. I especially remember my father keeping food on the table for a wife and twelve children, often working two jobs for minimum wage before there was a minimum wage. Dad died a saved man, as I believe the Lord honored our prayers and efforts, along with the patient endeavors of my brother Jay and his family.

The government of Haiti will not allow us to return to our field in St. Raphael amidst all of the recent travel bans internationally. Education, commerce, and employment continue to stagnate. This, as you know, was a serious problem in Haiti even before the Coronavirus pandemic.

Theresa and I are currently writing lessons for Junior Church materials and preparing courses for seminary training. Thank you for your understanding, as we are looking for the news that we can return.

Respectfully,

Keith and Theresa Baker
