Jonathan and Laura Bryan Prayer Letter: Back to Pre-Virus Church AttendancesOUR PRAISES

Hello from the center of Mexico. God has continued to be very gracious, and we are now back to our pre-virus attendance in the churches. Thankfully, as of the last three weeks, we have had many visitors. We continue to go out twice a week to knock on doors and share the message of Christ, and I’ve got good news—God is still in the saving business!

México just recently celebrated its Independence Day. We used this as an opportunity to have a big day in the church. Many people dressed up in traditional Mexican clothes from the revolutionary days. God’s Word was preached, and afterwards we had dinner on the grounds. The day finished off with a competition between the church members to see who could make the best-tasting salsa. We had 14 different types of salsas! That was a blessing, but an even greater blessing was seeing the fellowship between brothers and sisters in Christ. God really blessed this special day.

OUR PLANS

Recently, I have received a few invitations to preach in different churches around Mexico. This weekend, I have the privilege of preaching for one of our missionaries, seven hours farther south, here in Mexico. Our missionary is having his own Missions Conference and encouraging his own people to be concerned about souls. What a blessing it is to see people who not only receive the Gospel but are burdened to do their part to get the Gospel out to others as well. We came to Mexico many years ago to be a blessing to its people, but what we have found is that the people are many times much more of a blessing and encouragement to us. Please continue to pray that the members of our churches might continue to grow in their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

OUR PRAYERS

As always, we ask you to continue to pray for our safety. Each day brings new risks. I will probably share more in our next prayer letter about specific things that have been happening around our town. For the moment, we just ask that you specifically pray for our safety, as well as for the safety of the members in our churches.

Lastly, please continue to pray that we will have wisdom as we continue to strive to reach people with the message of salvation.

His servants by His grace,

Jonathan & Laura Bryan
