Henry Gonzalez Prayer Letter: Please Partner in Prayer With UsYou recently received a report on the work here in Santa Ana, El Salvador, which I trust was a blessing to you. I have heard back from a number of you. This is an encouragement to me because it shows that you read our reports and pray for us. I have decided to write again so soon because we really need you to partner in prayer with us on two specific matters.

1. On September 12, I signed on a loan to finish paying for our church building. The church has committed to paying the monthly bill to pay off the loan to the bank. In a country where there is a high unemployment rate and the average monthly salary of the church members is $300.00, to meet this commitment will require great sacrifice on their part. I ask that you pray that their faith will be strengthened and that they will see God’s blessings on their lives as they go about keeping their promise.

2. December 2-5 of this year, we have the opportunity and privilege to host the Fuegos de Evangelismo conference in our church. It is a regional conference for pastors and laypeople in the Central American Region. We ask that you pray for the following:

A. Pray that the pastors in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua will accept the invitation to come with their families and church members to this conference. They will have to go to great expense to get here, but the conference will be free of charge for them.
B. Pray for the conference speakers traveling here; pray for their safety, for their health, and for the Holy Spirit to work through them in their preaching. Their wives will also be coming and speaking in a mini-ladies’ conference that week.
C. Pray that we will be able to meet the financial needs of this very important event. Our church will be providing lodging, food, and ministry materials for the speakers and for the people who attend.

If you think you could and would like to take part in helping financially with one of these two requests, I know that your giving will be a blessing to our church and to the pastors attending the conference.

We are excited about what God is doing here. Thank you for praying for us and for already giving toward this ministry.

Your friend,

Henry Gonzalez
