Gregg Schoof Prayer Letter: "Wednesday Fun" Program for TeenagersDear Praying Friends,

It is hard to believe another year is upon us. According to some, the world was supposed to end in 2000 and then again on May 21, 2011, and then again sometime in 2012 and many other dates besides those. But all those dates have failed, and 2014 is here. So instead of fretting about it all as some do, I think I will continue doing the best option: Take “fret” time and go win someone to Christ! Honestly, when Christ returns, I will want to say, “Lord, could You wait a minute? I think this one wants to get saved.”

In December we finished up an eight-week-long “Wednesday Fun” program for the teenagers. They were out of school for November and December, so we had a special time for them for three hours each Wednesday before church. They played game and football and had some good fellowship and preaching just for them.

We also taught them how to play chess, and we even had a chess competition for them. They really enjoyed it, and they said they would practice hard for next year. We had about 20 teens each Wednesday. It really helped some of them spiritually, because we could take extra time for them and answer a lot of their questions personally.

The church worked hard this year preparing for a Christmas play. It was about a rotten man stealing someone’s house. The people he kicked out prayed for him. Then he stumbled into church, saw a Christmas play, and then got saved. The church really enjoyed it.

Our New Year’s Eve service was also nice. The church voted to stay up late to bring in the New Year together. We had a great time singing, giving testimonies, preaching, eating popcorn, and watching a movie called The Printing. It was about Christians secretly printing Bibles in Russia. It was very exciting, and the church loved it.

Thank you again for your regular prayers and support. In December we saw 31 saved, 14 professions, 1 baptized, and 72, that we know of, saved through the radio.

In His service,

Gregg, Angela, Caleb, Hannah, Timothy, Virginia, Micah, and Zachery Schoof
