Gregg Schoof Prayer Letter: Time to Go Home!It is really amazing how fast this furlough flew by. These two months we were able to take some extra time with family before having to say tearful goodbyes for several years. We have been traveling so much that we really had not spent much time with family.

We enjoyed Thanksgiving with Grandpa Warren Storm and Gloria’s (Angela’s sister) family, in Florida. We had the privilege of having our first smoked turkey and also our first deep-fried turkey; and, YES, they are as good as you have heard. In Africa, we just can’t get a real Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings like we had. Gloria also took us all out for a ride on a real steam train. It was so refreshing to play games together and have a great time with family. Thank you to Gloria and Kevin for providing the food and entertainment.

Also, we had the opportunity to go to Disney World’s Magic Kingdom for a day. We thank Grandpa Storm for taking us all. We happened to go on a day when they were open from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., so we rode rides for 16 hours! We were able to ride over 20 rides, watch 3 parades, and eat some good food. One man in the campground even gave us $100 when he found out we were missionaries. God is so good!

Two churches, one in North Carolina and one in Tennessee, had gotten new songbooks, and they decided to give their old ones to us for starting an English service here in Rwanda. Also, another church gave us some Bibles; they even delivered them close to where we were going to be. A church in California gave us 150 chorus books. With 5 boxes of Bibles, 7 boxes of songbooks, and bags and bags of clothes we found at thrift stores along the way, our motorhome was very loaded down. Time to go home!

It was great to get back to Hammond, Indiana, after being five months out on the road! We were blessed to live in a missions apartment for the month before going back to Rwanda. We were so happy to be out of the motorhome and to spread out for a change. It was also great to be able to go to our home church for a few Sundays before leaving. It gave the kids a chance to know their home church and to meet some friends at Teen Soul Winning.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. These two months we saw 4 people trust Christ out soul winning and 145 saved through the radio.

In His service,

Gregg, Angela, Caleb, Hannah, Timothy, Virginia, Micah, and Zachery Schoof
