Gregg and Angela Schoof Prayer Letter: Working HardWe have been very busy these months, and things are going well, um, except for our vehicles. Both our van and truck blew head gaskets within a week of each other! It took some weeks, but I was able to get some parts from the States and change the head gasket on the Chevy Astro. However, I am still working on the Toyota Land Cruiser, which is my work truck. It is really important to have some good transportation for the ministry.

We rejoice that First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana, was able to give us a good-sized offering to help with the radio station in Burundi. We paid several thousand dollars in fees, and now everything is moving along well. Pastor Rama is now working on getting permission to build a radio tower. I am planning to drive down there in January of next year and build the radio tower myself at the church.

We are continuing to work with several different churches. At Kitendi, we just put up a 27-foot-wide sign on their building. Now people can really see where the church is located. At Lubaga, Angela is teaching a ladies’ meeting the last Saturday of every month. She has really been a blessing to the ladies, giving them much-needed instruction on child rearing and also giving some cooking lessons. The ladies there really love it and her!

All of our children are doing great, but I want to mention our first two, who are both in their third year at Hyles-Anderson College. Some pastors were concerned how much of my support it was going to take to get them through college. The answer is none. I rejoice that they both got to work and have been paying their own way through college. Not to boast, but recently, Caleb gave me a great compliment. He said, “Dad, thank you for teaching me to work.” Amen!

Finally, Kitendi Baptist Church is doing great and has a great spirit. Several people are now going out soul winning with us and seeing people saved. During these past months, my family saw 26 saved there and had several visitors. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.

In His service,

Gregg, Angela, Caleb, Hannah, Timothy, Virginia, Micah, and Zachery Schoof
