Garry and Mindy Tingson Prayer Letter: The Lord Giveth, and the Lord Taketh AwayIt’s always great to give a prayer of dedication to the Lord in the new year. Our main prayer was to seek the Lord’s will about helping another church plant while we continue seeking the Lord’s will about where He would have us to plant a church. As we sought the Lord’s will, we sought counsel from our pastor, our mission board, and other counsellors. The Lord kept directing us to the same place: Living Hope Baptist Church of Taree, NSW. As the Lord made it obvious to us, we made the decision to go and help this new church. They have even committed to helping us with the planting of our church in the near future!

Our month was filled with packing up again and relocating again. This is our fourth move since we’ve been in Australia! Hopefully, we’ll be able to get settled down for a little while this time. We have moved to a little town just 18 minutes away from the church meeting place. If you would like to send us letters, cards, and other things, you may send them to 32 Blue Gum Avenue, Wingham, NSW 2429, Australia. Since being here, we’ve had many opportunities in the ministry. I’ve been able to preach three times already. We had one man, Conrad, contemplating getting saved in one of the services; please pray for him. Last Sunday, we had an indigenous young lady named Latoya visit our church. My wife Mindy was able to make friends with her straight away. Please pray for this young lady. In February, I will begin teaching a Bible college course to seven students in our church. One of the students is potentially our future youth pastor. Please pray that the Lord will bless this time of teaching and training nationals. In this next month of February, I have a goal of letterboxing the whole town where we live. We praise the Lord that we’re able to do this in Australia. Our children have done well settling in. They’ve made many friends in the church already! Please pray as they begin the new school year.

The Lord has truly been blessing us here and has given us more than we could ever imagine. As the Lord gave, He also took away. It was a sad month for our family with the passing of my father. We will miss him, but we know that he is up in Heaven having a great time! The memorial service went well. The Gospel was given by way of song, the message, and even with the programs that were handed out to every attendee. There were a handful of unsaved people there. Please pray that decisions will be made from their attending the funeral. Thank you for the outpouring of love and support from you all!

Your servant in Christ,

Garry Tingson
