Zach Foust Prayer Letter: Thanking God for the Blessings of This Past YearWe would like to begin our letter by wishing each of you a very Merry Christmas and a special holiday season. We are enjoying the warm and sunny days that come with this time of year here in Lima! It is a time of year of reflection, and we have been thanking the Lord for all the blessings of the past year. Although we experienced some difficult trials, our Saviour has been faithful, and we are thankful.

Our attendance campaign in San Gabriel was a tremendous blessing to our congregation. We saw many first-time visitors trust Christ as their Saviour, new converts have begun discipleship classes, and we had many who won their first souls to Christ during the campaign. Our biggest day, Neighbor Day, was especially blessed, with nearly 200 in attendance and 41 adults trusting Christ! Most of the converts were won to the Lord by our church members, and we got to listen to their happy testimonies with great joy. Please pray as we move forward to disciple many of these precious people.

The Pastors’ Workshop was a huge blessing for Team Peru! We were blessed to hear excellent teaching and preaching by Bro. Andres Gomez and Bro. Eddie Lapina from First Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana. Many pastors attended and were blessed and challenged. It was so good for our team to have visitors from home!

We took Team Peru to the jungle city of Iquitos for a Youth Conference in October. We were excited to see more than 40 teens surrender to do the will of God for their lives at this conference. Mrs. Heather Kokubun gave her testimony, and Bro. Mark Rader taught on Creation. Our theme was “Created Unto Good Works.” We brought the conference home to our church in San Gabriel and Surco, and God really worked in the hearts of the young people. Please pray that our youth would follow God’s will always.

We had a special day of evangelism on the Day of the Dead, as we do each year. Our church members were able to see 120 people trust Christ as they distributed tracts and witnessed at a large cemetery.

This week we will be holding a Vision Meeting for the workers and leaders of our church in San Gabriel. Please pray as we work this upcoming year to win more, disciple many, and form new leaders to plant new churches. We covet your prayers for 2018 for Team Peru, as well, that God would direct us as we seek to plant churches and make disciples in our part of the world.

His for souls,
