Dennis Lagos Prayer Letter: Deputation Marathon ContinuedOur school year has come to a close, and my wife, with mixed emotions, has said “Goodbye” to the students she has come to love through her investment in their lives. I would like to say a special “Thank You” to our dear pastor, Dr. Rick Finley, and our sending church, Fellowship Baptist Church, for the privilege given to my wife in teaching at Fellowship Baptist Academy. Thank you for your unwavering support shown to us as we embarked on the journey of deputation.

I recall being invited to visit one church where we went out soul winning that afternoon before the service. I was sharing the Gospel with two young teens when another boy, out of curiosity, came over to hear what I had been sharing with the other two. When the two young men had decided to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, the other young man was still standing and listening. I learned that this young man claimed that he did not believe in God and was an atheist. With God’s help, I carefully shared God’s love and His plan of salvation, and little by little I could see the love of God melting this young man’s hard heart. It was then that God’s miracle of salvation took place in this young man’s heart. He was ready to humble himself before God and accept Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour! I later told the teens that we would return and bring them to church as our guests. The boys were thrilled about coming to church. We did return, and they were ready to go to church. It was a special moment when we came to the young man’s home who had before claimed to be an atheist, because when he stepped out that door, he had a smile on his face, had the best clothes on he could find, and was ready to hear God’s Word preached. That night that young man made a profession before the entire church that he had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour!

As our deputation marathon continues, please continue to partner with us in prayer that wherever God leads us, we may be faithful in serving Him and reaching the lost. Pray that, God willing, we may be able to reach our support level sooner than later of our target date of January 2017. Pray for God’s guidance and protection during our travels. We are greatly anticipating the wondrous works of the Lord as we follow His will. Please continue to remember the Refugee Ministry, that God would send more laborers, and the Muslim people we have encountered, that their hearts would be ready to receive the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you again for your partnership in both prayer and financial support for the glory of God!

Your servants for Christ,
